With regard to buying fatigued riders. I'm pretty much running my riders to the max up to the end of the season. Will the next season start straight off with the same fatigue levels as the end of season 1, and no time for a winter rest period?

The winter rest period is : 3 days at the end of the season, 3 at the begening of the next one, and 6 days criterium. If with this time, your rider is still tired, you'll have to do the beginning of the next season with the fatigue he get.

are you sure about that? 12 days in total? Thougt there were only the criteriums, so 6 days of rest.
That might change something for my Vuelta team ...

Yes, if you look at the calendar on the fitness panel, you can see this rest days.

length of the season is 75 days, the last racing day (i think) is day 71, so that means 4 dayturns before season turn.

However, beware of the calendar, because it won't be the same on each division, only AMATEUR division will keep the criterium races and all other divisions will start between day 5 and 8, which means between 9 and 12 days of total rest.

Aside from the uncertainty of the staff changes...Does the New season mean that everyone will end up with a different calendar? the original will no longer apply i assume.

That is correct, the calendars will be split as follows:

CTT (it's own calendar - 66 days of racing) - 20 teams (+2 CNP teams for each race)
CNP (it's own calendar - 64 days of racing) - 180 teams (+20 CTT teams for each race)
CNT (it's own calendar - 46 days of racing) - 600 teams
AMT (it's own calendar - 46 days of racing) - 1200 teams

The number of teams and days raced may differ a little from the above, but it is a good guide for you.
