Am I right in thinking the grey patches on the stage map are the cobbled sections?

can only cobbled specialists do well or win the cobbled classics in this? I have a rider with high 70's on cobbles but only low 60's on hill, acc and sprint. What kind of an advantage can having high cobbled stat have over a rider of similar ability and say only 55~ on cobbles, in comparison to say a TT specialist to a climber or something like that, how much time can a cobbled specialist expect to take out of a below avg 55 cobbled rider?

or is it that simply there is much less chance of him having a mechanical or crash compared to others, which is a big thing in cobbled races, luck plays a big part after all.

It depends on how many and how long of a stretch the cobble sections are. Some courses are better suited for a sprinter who has a high COB attribute rather than a COB specialist with a low sprint attribute. It also depends on how flat the course is. Again, a strong sprinter with a high flat attribute will beat the COB specialist.

Cobble sections drain your blue bar very fast if your COB attribute is low, so one way to think about this is if I have a high COB attribute, it's like I have a super high RES attribute.

Thats exacxtly what I wanted to know and a great way to sum it up, he will tire less and have fresher legs for the finish.

just an FYI, the winner in my division also placed riders 3rd and 4th who attacked with ~ 60 km left although they ended up riding in separate breaks before one bridged up to the other. The "leader" who won by 2:30 soloed in from 100k. seems like these tactics would be wasting lots of energy also yet resulted in 2 podium places and the overall team ranking...

i think that that guy was me ;)

but it's not a CT race so no point for me :x :x

btw the level of fitness can influence the race between one with 65% and another one with just 20%

hey zz whatever happened to your rider Tevaite Clain who came in 4th on this stage way back at the beginning of the season? I searched and the only one I could find was a climber by that name on another team and on your roster you only have 2 :PAV: riders.

ah that's interesting! There was a rider I had signed on my team before one of the restarts who mysteriously disappeared. I searched for him several times and his name was gone from the game :(
